Getting started is simple.
Every House Proper relationship begins with understanding your home, how you use it and where you need support. From there, we establish the foundation for ongoing management and build additional services around the needs of your property.
Start with a Conversation
We’ll begin with a brief conversation about your home, how often you’re there, what’s currently in place and where having a trusted local point of contact would make life easier.
Walk the Home Together
Next, we’ll meet at the property for a focused walkthrough to understand your home at a high level, discuss your priorities and identify the level of support that makes sense. This gives us the context needed to prepare a thoughtful, property-specific proposal for ongoing management.
This Initial Walkthrough incurs a $125 fee and will be applied toward the $500 onboarding fee.
Onboarding
We create your House Proper Residence Record — an organized, property-specific reference for your home’s key systems, service providers, access details, emergency contacts, maintenance routines and unique preferences. The Residence Record belongs to you and it provides a source of truth making transitions between vendors or service providers easier, and offers continuity if ownership, staffing or management should ever change.
A $500 onboarding fee is incurred, inclusive of the previous $125 Initial Walkthrough fee.
Begin Ongoing Home Management
Once onboarding is complete, House Proper begins the ongoing care and oversight of your home. Through regular home reviews, consistent documentation and clear communication, we keep you informed and help ensure the details of your home continue to be looked after.
Add Support as You Need It
As your needs change, House Proper can step in with additional support around the home. From vendor coordination and repairs to arrivals, storm preparation, renovation oversight, styling and organization, we can take on the details that require extra attention when they arise.
